Hello...

"Dream-Ophelia's Alchemy" (detail), 2009

A childhood spent beneath vaulted arches examining stained glass windows and statues of saints has led me to associate a certain style of imagery with holiness. Yet I have found holiness in other things as well: nature, ancient myth, and especially the human form. All these speak to a more tangible sanctity that simply exists in our world and to mankind's intimate relationship with it. Through delicate paintings I express my reverence for all that is sacred. My images are eclectic, rather that confined by any particular dogma. For me, painting is study, meditation, and worship as I begin to discover my identity as both a physical woman and a spiritual creature.
