Weekend Studio Update

This is the first piece I'm doing where I'm really putting Transparent White to work.  Really happy with the results so far!

One more shot of an underpainting...

Trying out a Venetian turpentine glazing medium recipe.  I love it, but it takes forEVER to dry - even with a drier added.

King's Ascent release!

"King's Ascent" - a Flash platformer game I've been creating art assets for - is now complete and available to play on Newgrounds: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/620100

We'll soon be releasing it on other Flash portals and gaming sites as well.  I'll post the links here.

Underpainting test, second layer

Added a layer of Titanium and Transparent White.  The Burnt Umber is nice and neutral, but I'm really liking the Alizarin and mixed purple at this stage.

Eyes

Weekend studio update: Painting some quick sketches of eyes to test out how different colors in an underpainting will react with subsequent layers.
